Great Show!
The new House of Blues did not disappoint for my first Umphrey's McGee show. Both the venue and the show were impressive!
My only gripe is that Umphrey's McGee's set seemed the shortest of the 4 bands that played. While other shows had them play over 20 songs, last night's set felt generous with 10 songs - but the quality made up for the quantity.
Thankfully, the other bands, especially the Felice Brothers, did not disappoint. I ended up buying 2 of their CDs by the end of the night, even though I had never heard of them before.
On most songs, members from each band joined in, creating a stage presence that sometimes included up to 15 people. It was clear they enjoyed playing together, and at times it felt like being present at the Last Waltz.
